How far are the cottages from the beach?

The Outer Banks beaches are just a short drive away — typically 10 to 15 minutes depending on which beach access point you choose. You’ll have 130 miles of some of the most natural and unspoiled coastline on the East Coast at your fingertips, including the famous wild horse beaches of Corolla.

What amenities are included with every cottage stay?

Every cottage comes with a full kitchen, living room, private back deck with gas grill, and access to the Westside Athletic Club — which includes a 25-meter pool, 4 clay and 3 hard-surface tennis courts, 4 lighted pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a 5,000+ square foot fitness facility. Guests also have access to the lighted putting green and The Killie, our 4-hole par-3 short course, right in the cottage courtyard.

How many people does each cottage sleep?

Each cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level, plus an open loft on the second level accessed by a spiral staircase — giving you a total of 6 full-sized beds per cottage. For larger groups and family reunions, multiple cottages can be booked together, positioned close enough for easy interaction but with enough separation for privacy.

What is the minimum stay requirement?

Just 3 nights — which makes us far more flexible than many OBX vacation rentals that require a full week. This makes Cottages at Kilmarlic a great option for long weekends, extended family trips, or mid-week getaways.

Are the cottages suitable for a family reunion or large group?

Absolutely — it’s one of the things we do best. With 14 private cottages available, we can accommodate large family groups while giving everyone their own space and privacy. The cottages are positioned thoughtfully around the courtyard so families can gather easily when they want to, but retreat to their own cottage when they need downtime. Is Kilmarlic Golf Club available to cottage guests?

Yes — cottage guests receive preferred rates at the award-winning Kilmarlic Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course located within the resort community. The club has hosted the North Carolina Open twice and is consistently rated among the top courses in the state. You’ll also have unlimited access to the lighted putting green and The Killie short course right outside your cottage door at no extra charge.

What OBX attractions are nearby?

You’re perfectly positioned to explore everything the Outer Banks has to offer. Within easy reach are the Wright Brothers National Memorial, hang gliding at Jockey’s Ridge State Park, kiteboarding on the sound, tours of the historic OBX lighthouses, and the wild horse beaches of Corolla. H2OBX Waterpark is less than a mile away. The area’s best restaurants, shops, and fishing spots are all a short drive from the cottages.
